A voluntary, anonymous research survey about workload, control, recovery, and support at work. About 3 minutes. Not a diagnostic assessment.
Before you start
- Anonymous — no name, email, employer, or any identifying detail is asked for or stored
- Voluntary — every question is optional and you can stop at any time
- Educational and research purpose only — this is not a diagnostic assessment and produces no score
- No personalised health advice is given based on your answers
- Takes about 3 minutes
- Results may be reported publicly only in aggregate, never individually
What the survey asks
Sixteen multiple-choice questions about how manageable your workload feels, how much influence you have over priorities, how clear your responsibilities are, how available support is, how often you are expected to respond outside working time, how often you feel genuinely off duty, and which work factor you would most like to change — plus optional broad context such as work setting, industry category, role level, organisation size band, and weekly hours band.
How results will be reported
MatBurnout will not publish percentage-based findings until at least 100 valid responses exist, and will not publish any subgroup breakdown based on fewer than 20 respondents. Findings will never be framed as medical prevalence — this survey cannot say what percentage of people 'have burnout', and MatBurnout will not claim it can. Research collection is currently underway.
Privacy
Responses are stored without any identifier and are never linked to the Burnout Check-In, the Reset Brief email list, or any other MatBurnout data. Taking this survey does not subscribe you to anything.
